The Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance brings ~35 University of Florida students to South Florida to explore careers, meet founders, and connect with the region's innovation economy.
🎓 Free networking reception — open to students, founders, operators, and South Florida professionals. No tickets required.
The Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance and the University of Florida are hosting a Career Trek on March 19–20 that brings University of Florida students with South Florida ties to Broward County to explore career opportunities and connect with the region's business community before internship and post-graduation decisions are made.
As part of the experience, Founding Blue is hosting an evening networking reception on Thursday, March 19 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Office Edge in Fort Lauderdale. Approximately 35 UF students will be participating in the Trek.
The reception is designed as an informal setting where students can practice introductions, ask questions, and begin building relationships with founders, operators, and professionals working across South Florida's innovation economy.
Members of the Founding Blue community who are interested in spending some time with the students, sharing a bit about their work, or offering perspective on career paths in the region are warmly invited to join.
South Florida is competing for talent. Every year, thousands of Florida graduates make decisions about where to build their careers — and many don't realize the depth of opportunity right here at home. Events like this change that.
By connecting UF students with real founders and real companies in Broward County, we're making the case for South Florida before they sign offers elsewhere. That's how we build a sustainable innovation economy — one conversation at a time.
