Greg McNeal

Greg McNeal is Chairman of the Board of Exyn Technologies (Nasdaq: EXYN), appointed in August 2026 after serving as an independent director and chair of its Defense Advisory Board. He was Executive Chairman and an early investor in SailPlan, the maritime artificial intelligence company, through its growth and acquisition. Greg co-founded AirMap, the drone airspace company recognized on Fast Company's World's Most Innovative Companies list and Inc.'s 25 Most Disruptive, and with a CES Innovation Award and an LA Business Journal Innovation Award. AirMap raised close to $100 million from Microsoft, Sony, Rakuten, Airbus, Qualcomm and Baidu, with institutional backing from Temasek, Macquarie, In-Q-Tel, Greycroft, General Catalyst and Lux Capital. He is a tenured Professor of Law and Public Policy at Pepperdine's Caruso School of Law, has testified before Congress twelve times, wrote a Forbes business and technology column for more than a decade and co-authored Saddam on Trial. His scholarship includes "Targeted Killing and Accountability" (Georgetown Law Journal, 2014, named Article of the Year by the AIDP American National Section) and "Drones and the Future of Aerial Surveillance" (GW Law Review, 2016). A former US Army Signal Corps officer, he holds a PhD from Penn State, a JD from Case Western, an MPA from American University and a BA from Lehigh.
